Lock of the Irish – Staged Reading

Join us for a special evening of live theatre at Hop Harvest & Vine as we present a staged reading of a brand-new original play written by Joe Nolan, owner of the Hop and Good Harvest Market.

About the Play

Lock of the Irish tells the story of a young Irish immigrant whose stories of “Irish luck” spark a long-distance romance with a Norwegian woman he meets in New York. Over the course of three years, their letters grow into something deeper. But when she travels to meet him in person, the line between truth and imagination begins to blur.

Set between New York, Wisconsin, Ireland, and Norway in the late 1860s, this heartfelt story explores love, family, hope, and the power of the stories we tell each other.
